This HTML document is very simple in structure. It contains some headings and a number of paragraphs. The sections are constructed to have a test document with some simple document object model. This makes it a fix point for testing creation and editing of annotations in Annotea using Janno and the other clients.

First in order to calculate correct XPointers for the selections it is important to ensure that the mousepointer starts and stops over text when dragging. If the selection ends in the margin a wild pointer will result.
